Sr System Analyst (with HL7 Data Integration exp)
Requirement Description:
Looking for a Data Integration/Interface Analyst to assist in the expansion of patient data delivery between acute care and ambulatory settings (Clinics, Private Practices, Other Outpatient Facilities) utilizing industry standard Health Information Exchange (HIE) technology tools (e.g. Medicitiy, etc). This resource will be part of a project team supporting the HIE Interface Project at our Client's corporate office.
Responsibilities:
- Coordinate the integration of clinical applications (Lab, Radiology, etc) and electronic health record (EHR) systems to the HIE
- Assist in the configuration and build of the Lab, Radiology & Transcription Interfaces, using the HIE tools (Medicity)
- Responsible for creation and submission of various test messages associated with the HIE interface build
- Responsible for the support of existing HIE clients concurrent with the expansion to additional ambulatory offices
- Analyze and resolve data integration issues between multiple applications
- Be responsible for working independently with clients and peers to design and build solutions/develop documentation
- Coordinate Unit/Regression/Integration Testing of associated applications during implementations or upgrades
- Develop strong relationships with end user communities/clients and vendors
- Generate and maintain status reports
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 3-5 years experience required in application/data integration across diverse environments where Interface Engine and/or Health Information Exchange products were used.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and both written and verbal necessary to communicate effectively with AHIS peers and clinical staff
- Demonstrated ability to communicate using HL7 terminology
- Have an understanding of clinical work-flow and terminology
- Basic understanding of physician office operations
- Basic Understanding of interfacing to downstream systems from the Lab applications including EMR and HIE development
- Understand customer requirements and their impact on the technical directions of a solution
- Requires the ability to work both independently and as a team member across multiple teams
- Must be able to independently research and perform analysis to resolve complex issues.
- Flexible in adjusting to changing priorities.
- Must be self-motivated, detail-oriented and able to manage one's own work independently in a fast paced team environment.
- Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office tools - Excel, Word, etc.
Additional Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree with IT, Engineering, or other related technical major
- Healthcare IT experience in acute care or laboratory or ambulatory care settings
- Familiarity with HL7 concepts
- Working knowledge of health care incentive programs such as Meaningful Use
