Position : Java Developer

Location : Albany, NY

Duration : 6+ months

EAD, GC or Citizen Only

The Ideal Candidate will Possess the Following Additional Education, Experience, Skills, and Abilities:

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in Engineering or Computer Science, or equivalent.
• 5+ years of related experience; experience in Analysis, Design and Development of complex applications, working knowledge in all phases of software development lifecycle; excellent organizational, interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills, ability to perform in a fast-paced, team focused, and deadline-oriented work environment, ability to successfully execute many complex tasks simultaneously.
• Java
• Knowledge / Experience with web services (SOAP, REST)
• SQL
• Experience with one or more software development methodologies
• Experience with web layer technologies

Highly Desired Skills:

• Spring Framework
• JSF, AJAX, Facelets
• Data layer tools such as iBatis or Hibernate
• XML Development Experience
• HTML, CSS, Javascript

 

Job Responsibilities

• Performs analysis and design for small to moderate projects.
• Develops code for modules of small to large scope.
• Provides application support/troubleshoots a variety of problems.
• Writes concise and clear technical documents and performs other duties as may be assigned

Our client is searching for a contract Software Engineer with experience in design and development of web-based applications using Java and Java EE technologies
