Roles and Responsibilities:
· Responsible for quality assurance to ensure the technical solutions meet the requirements
· Participate in project life-cycle from analysis to production implementation with emphasis on testing automation
· Set QA and test strategy, approach, policy and direction. Gain agreement by all stakeholders
· Create and maintain credible, actionable test plan for HIE project
· Working with test teams, development teams and senior-level management to escalate issues as needed. Assist in reviewing software development deliverables such as Project Plan, Construction Iteration Plan, Requirements, Use Cases and Integration Test Results for thoroughness and detail.
· Ensure all test activities and artifacts are well documented and all anomalies recorded and tracked to resolution.
· Work concurrently on several projects, each with specific instructions that may differ from project to project. Ensure that quality processes are carried out through all phases of the Software development lifecycle.
· Work with business partners, systems analyst, designers and programmers to create/analyze required project documents and ensures that quality assurance processes are incorporated.
· Participate in analysis and design walkthroughs, as well as project meetings.
· Estimate quality assurance effort on approved projects.
· Develop and implement efficient and effective testing strategy, test conditions and test scripts for approved projects
· Manage towards results, by process, with facts and with continuous process improvement in mind.
· Work with others through coaching and mentoring to ensure tasks are completed on time.
· Work with project team to identify risks if quality assurance process is not followed.
· Work with process improvement teams to ensure effective process improvements are implemented. Ensure process improvements are documented and incorporated in the quality assurance process.
Required Skills:
· 5+ years of QA Experience
· Bachelor or higher degree in Computer Science or related field.
· Public sector experience with Health Insurance, Eligibility and Claims Payments systems
· Experience in and strong understanding of Quality Assurance methodologies and practices
· Excellent logic, problem solving, and troubleshooting skills
· Extensive experience with quality engineering techniques and methodology: developing test plans, designing, executing and analyzing test cases, writing and interpreting reports, reporting testing status, creating defect and code coverage metrics, and assessing risk.
· Experience with managing the validation of multiple complex interfaces
· Broad knowledge of testing approaches , techniques and tools
· Experience reviewing cross discipline deliverables
· Strong interpersonal and communication skills especially diplomacy and advocacy
Desired Skills and Experience:
· Must be detail oriented with a proven ability to multitask in a fast moving environment with shifting priorities and changing requirements
· Working knowledge of Unified Process Development Methodology with focus on requirements and test management
· Experience with quality tools such as Clear Quest, Requirement Composer, Test Manager,
· Strong collaborative and team player nature and ability to understand and negotiate tradeoffs
· Writing and executing Test Cases
