Position Description:
Customer has recently embarked on an aggressive strategy to increase capabilities and assets in the banking space (deposits, lending, etc.). To support this rapid business expansion, the growth of technology capabilities and services is critical. The Global Banking Technology group seeks a technical leader to join our team. In addition to being a strong software developer, the candidate must be capable of supervising the work of developers both on and off site, and coordinating between stakeholders from all areas of the firm (IT, Operations and the Business Unit.) The person hired for this position will help set the group's technical strategy and architecture, on new projects and existing systems, to meet the business needs.
Skills Required:
- Minimum 12 years of Software development experience
- Team management experience
- Strong skills in, (Candidate should expect to work with all or some of these, as well as other languages and technologies)
- Java
- Web front end (Flex/HTML/JavaScript/AJAX) development experience
- Knowledge of relational databases
- Scripting with Perl
- Knowledge of Unix environment
· Excellent communication skills
