Oracle DBA
Sacramento,CA
6 +Months Contract

 

Candidates need to have a minimum of 8 years experience providing 24x7 support for Production or Development environments, be Oracle certified in 10g or 11g, and a bachelor's degree with a technical major. The individual will have to be on-site in the Elk Grove, CA location for 6 months with possible extensions.

 

The Oracle Database Administrator Job Responsibilities include:
Hand on experience in Very Large Multi-Terabyte Databases (VLDB)
Strong SQL, PL/SQL performance tuning
Working knowledge with stored procedures, triggers, functions, packages, UNIX shell scripting, partitioning, and indexes
Experience in installations, configurations, administration, and tuning of Oracle 10g, 11g, and ASM for high available databases
Experience in Oracle RAC is required and prior working experience with Exadata.
Experience with replication technologies such as Stream Replication or Golden Gate
Knowledge with different Backup and Recovery strategies
Experience with maintenance such as applying DB patches and upgrades on a regular basis, and upgrade administrative tools and utilities.
