The range of responsibilities includes:
· Package software components in bundles for Installation
· Install software components on Windows and Linux platforms
· Assess software components are installed correctly by means of conducting smoke tests
· Assist in maintaining documentation and training materials
Required technical skills:
· Strong development skills (Java, .Net and scripting) as well as prior experience with SCM processes/tools.
· The candidate must have good understanding of SCM, Build/Release, and QA
· He/she should have prior experience building automation solutions using scripting, open source tools and web interfaces
· Microsoft Team Foundation Server (TFS) and Hudson as CI tools
· Sonar as code quality metrics dashboard
· Nexus as Artifact Repository
· Maven and Eclipse – Maven is the Java build and lifecycle tool, and eclipse is the preferred IDE. Experience using and configuring maven plugins is a plus
· General familiarity with networking concepts in support of the Consumer Travel applications
· Deep understanding of release management and change management - best practices in code branching and tagging, patching and merging
· Good analytical skills – ability to evaluate options and make recommendations
· Good troubleshooting skills – troubleshoot and fix the existing SLM toolset, and support solving user problems
· Familiarity with Agile
· Work independently
· Strong multi-tier application troubleshooting skills
· Strong documentation and communication skills
Preferred experience/skills:
· Experience with source control tools GIT, SVN, Starteam and TFS
· Familiarity with Java programming
· Solid Experience with Build tools (e.g. Maven, Ant, etc.)
· Prior experience with software development, particularly in Travel/Airlines development a strong plus.
· Years of experience: 3+
