Must have both manual and automation testing experience
The Lead QA Test Engineer is responsible for the development and execution of manual and automated tests to ensure the highest possible product quality. Perform functional, system and integration level testing on newly developed and redesigned software solutions. Creates, maintains, implements test strategies, plans and test cases. Documents and summarizes test results and reports findings. Independently determines and develops approaches to solutions. Participates in analyzing and designing test suites. Assist less experienced analysts with complex problems regarding testing approaches, application knowledge, and technical knowledge.
Responsibilities for this Position Include:
- Ongoing responsibility for developing test strategy, test approach, test plan and test closure report and implementing the test plan. Monitoring and revising as necessary to resolve issues.
- Provides knowledge transfer within the team and training for the team members including all testing methodology used by QA team.
- Responsible for project/release estimating and sprint analysis, as well as allocating and monitors tasks in sprints.
- Provides project issue/ conflict resolution.
- Coordinates and manages the schedules of the test team including team meetings.
- First point of contact for testing related issues; works closely with PMs and business partners to interpret the project/release goals, objectives, success criteria.
- Provides daily and weekly project status reporting to the Project team and Management.
- Perform peer reviews of test strategies, plans and test cases.
- Responsible for scheduling tests environments and monitoring Change Management, Scope Creep and escalate issues to management as needed.
- Work closely with development managers and resources to complete testing cycles efficiently.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor of Science Degree in MIS, Computer Science or related field required.
