About this Position / Responsibilities

 

• Install Oracle SOA Suite in multiple environments Development, Integration, QA, UAT, production pilot, Production high availability and disaster recovery instances
• Establish Enterprise wide implementation model Establish domains and clusters and cluster to cluster communication.
• Deploy custom IDE for development and runtime environments (Java Development stack)
• Develop /Optimize/ maintain Deployment Plan Install industry standard security policy as per wmata established standards (Authentication, Authorization, Identity, Message security) Patch Management for Apps servers/Monitor Applications, Automate Deployment Process Mentor developers to ensure continuity of services
• Provide Weblogic administration, clustering and deployment Work with Production team and developers to make sure the trouble free operating environment
• Provide ongoing production support as needed Mentor Admin support team on an ongoing basis

 

Qualifications

 

• BEA WebLogic service / Web Service Specialist.
• Expert Level (Oracle ESB Suite/Stack) (TOG1 3.1.12.3.1)
• Bachelor's Degree in an information technology discipline or equivalent experience.
• Minimum 10+ years relevant experience in a support or systems administration role.
• Support UAT and performance testing.
• Monitor and track server's status during testing Capable of independently solving simple to moderately complex problems
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage a diversified workload
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, including writing ability to update tickets with status and communicate daily/weekly status
• Demonstrated ability to work effectively with all levels of operations and client's services
• Strong problem solving & troubleshooting skills including ability to perform root cause analysis for preventative analysis
• Fluent with participating and/or executing the multiple stages of testing (i.e. Unit, System, Integration, Performance, Regression).
• Must be able to provide 1st level of support for any SOA applications deployed on all (Dev, QA, UAT, PROD) environments
• Work with the SOA application team for setting up, maintaining, and enhancing of the development, QA/UAT, and Production environment for all SOA applications.
• Define, and maintain complete infrastructure documentation according to all the defined environments.
• Support architecture, and communicate to SOA stakeholder of any changes and upgrades.
• Follow WMATA infrastructure standards for architecting SOA environment.
• Seek approval of any variation with EA and infrastructure teams. Must be able to define & setup Network Topologies, Deployment Structures, load-balancing, failover, clustering best practices
• Must have experience in setting up SSL-enabled Server-to-Server Communications, Authentication & Authorization Management using PKI
• Should be able to Automate server initialization, maintenance, deployment & upgrade tasks using Ant / WLST / Python scripts
• Must have experience with Server Performance Monitoring & Tuning (CPU, I/O, Memory, Network Traffic)
• Must have experience working with Microsoft Active Directory, LDAP and Oracle RAC database environment Good hands-on Linux / UNIX commands (to maintain the application / server)
• Must be able to monitor JVM performance through Enterprise Manager, JRockit mission control and other standard JVM monitoring utilities
• Must have experience on working in a virtualized server environment based on Oracle Virtual Machine (Oracle VM)
