Job Description: Our client is a Fortune 100 media giant and one of the largest Technology companies in the Philadelphia area. They are currently expanding an enterprise Business Intelligence team, including advanced analytic across multiple large data sets. This is a great opportunity for candidates looking for a long-term opportunity within a highly-talented team of technology professionals. This position will be responsible for assisting EBI Data Science team or their clients in data engineering and supporting the development of analytical models using statistical, machine learning and data mining processes. Will assist in defining both data development tactics, and defining requirements for exploratory and ad hoc data analysis. Accountable for analyzing and developing complex logical database designs, logical data models and relational data definitions in support of corporate and customer information systems requirements. Understands the methodologies and technologies that depict the flow of data within and between technology systems and business functions/operations. Responsible for the identification and resolution of information flow, content issues and the transformation of business requirements into logical data models. This position identifies opportunities to reduce data redundancy, trends in data uses and single sources of data. · Writing Scala code to be run in Spark framework to process HSD, Wifi usage data · Writing Scala code to process Medallia, Loyalty data · Develop code to implement datascience models · Help in operationalization of spark jobs. Requirements: · 10+ years experience in Java software development required · 3+ years' experience developing applications on Hadoop · Experience in scala: MUST have experience writing high quality scala code · Must have hands-on experience in Spark · Experience in messaging and collection frameworks like Kafka or Storm. · 2+ years of distributed database experience (HBase or Cassandra). · Experience with high volume systems. |
