Role                       :              Visual Developer/Designer  
Location               :              Pittsburgh, PA  
Duration              :              6+ Months with likely extensions
Interview            :              Phone then Face to Face
Very urgent role

 

This position is looking to start ASAP – interviews will be in-person only (one round of interviews).
Candidates must be able to start immediately, this position could start as early as 2/13/2017. 
Must have good communication skills, poor communication skills will be rejected.

 

 

Description:

Any experience with Umbraco/WordPress is a big plus.

Ajax and JavaScript...more functional then pretty websites

  

Skills

·         HTML5, CSS, JavaScript, worked with MVC.

• 3-5 years of professional experience in Interactive Design; Visual Design skills a plus
• Strong Visual Design/Layout/Typography skill set
• Must possess mastery of Photoshop and/or Illustrator
• Thorough understanding of web-based technologies; i.e. CSS, HTML
• Ability to document user experience and interactivity through wireframes, flowcharts, screenshots, design specifications and demos
• Ability to rapidly prototype and iterate designs
• Strong problem-solving, creative, communication and negotiation skills
• Ability to work with minimal direction in a constantly evolving fast-paced environment; Must be able to quickly identify and prioritize business objectives
• Ability to work harmoniously in small groups

Job Responsibilities Build and improve front-end user experiences by translating functional requirements into robust, interesting, supportable, and exciting interfaces for Websites and applications Participate in the full lifecycle development of Websites and applications, including creating wireframes, consulting on client-­side browser development, implementing user experiences, validating browser compatibility, and fixing defects Actively troubleshoot and support commerce Websites and applications in production-­critical environments Qualifications: In-depth experience (intermediate to advanced knowledge) with HTML5, CSS, JavaScript –  modern frameworks of AngularJS or NodeJS Experience (intermediate knowledge) with AJAX, JQuery, JSON Familiarity with browser capabilities and debugging (Chrome, Firefox, Safari, IE9+, Edge) Ability to write code that meets Web accessibility guidelines (WCAG or section 508) Ability to manage workflow, priorities, and deadlines, while handling multiple jobs/projects Demonstrated ability to provide accurate task breakdowns and estimates 5+ years of experience as a UX Developer or Front-End developer Experience with Oracle Commerce (formerly ATG) preferred – Or any Ecommerce experience a plus
