IT Infrastructure Project Manager

Position : IT Infrastructure Project Manager

Location : Kissimmee Orlando, FL

Duration : 8 -12 months

 

One of our customers in Florida is looking for a IT Infrastructure Project manager, for 8-12 months, West coast of Florida. Kissimmee, just outside of Orlando.

 

Immediate need for a contract Infrastructure Project Manager position for the next 8-12 months.  The role would be reporting into the Infrastructure PMO with significant interaction with other Infrastructure Managers

 

The following describe the role and requirements of the position:

 

Ø  Lead the delivery of two (2) or more Infrastructure projects from initiation to close-out.

Ø  Projects will entail:

o   A local infrastructure refresh at a remote site.  Scope includes network equipment such as firewalls/switches/router, rack mount server refresh of blade chassis and servers, MPLS network expansion negotiation with provider, deployment of local client compute resources, and more.  Subsequent coordination and execution of user testing and post go-live hypercare, engaging Infrastructure Architects & SME's as required. 

o   A network refresh of a core facility including coordination of the replacement of route/switch equipment and reconfiguration of LAN per changed architectural standards.  Subsequent coordination and execution of user testing and post go-live hypercare.  Engaging Infrastructure Architects & SME's as required throughout project duration.

Ø  Ensure all aspects of these projects align to the Project Phase Review Discipline for Infrastructure (PPRD-i).  Training, guidance and mentorship on the PPRD-I will be provided at onboarding and throughout the project(s).

Ø  Provide timely and complete status, incident, issue, risk and progress reporting to stakeholders and Infrastructure PMO leadership.

Ø  Act as a project coordinator/Infrastructure liaison (distinct from project manager) for smaller efforts across projects in the broader GIS PMO portfolio.

Ø  Actively participate in Infrastructure Governance including the collection of data regarding projects in the Infrastructure Portfolio such as "Items of Interest" reporting, project delivery metrics, toll-gate scheduling and delivery, template creation and iteration, office-hours for less experienced project managers and other tasks as specified by Infrastructure leadership.

Ø  Position will be based in SW Florida at an facility (Fort Myers - ALC, Naples - POL, Ave Maria - AME) based on seat availability.  Partial remote work (<50%) may be considered. 

 

Required skills, competencies and conditions

Ø  5+ years of experience minimum touching at least two of the following IT infrastructure areas: 

o   Servers and virtualization (Vmware ESXi)

o   Core Networking(route/switch Cisco preferred)

o   Perimeter protection (firewall – Palo Alto preferred)

o   Unified communications platforms (Cisco Call Manager/WebEx/Jabber preferred)

o   Application and desktop virtualization (Citrix XenApp 6.5 and/or XenDesktop 7.6)

o   Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS

o   Exchange 2010 or higher

o   Microsoft SCCM and 1E Nomad

o   Deployment and management of Clouds such as Microsoft Azure, Amazon Web Servcies, Rackspace or IBM SoftLayer

Ø  Bachelor's degree.  Preferred degree in Computer Information Systems, Management Information Systems, Computer Science or other relevant information technology field

Ø  Experience in large enterprise project management

Ø  Experience delivering projects working in a global team

Ø  Must be an effective communicator in all relevant forms (verbal, written, executive presentation)

Ø  Demonstrated experience showing sound judgement and good decision making

Ø  Professional demeanor, presentation and proactive mindset

Ø  Valid master services agreement (MSA) and preferred rate card on file with the Global Information Systems Vendor Management Office (GIS VMO).

 

Desired skills and competencies:

Ø  PMP certified

Ø  ITIL Certification or equivalent

Ø  Vendor Certification (MCSE, MCITIP, CCNA, CCIE, etc.)

Ø  Medical device manufacturing experience – validation, qualification and 21CFR Part 11 knowledge/experience
