We have an immediate requirement with our client and the details are as follows.
Role: Bigdata Engineer
Location: Greenville, SC
Duration: 6 months
Job Description
- Install, configure, and maintain ELK stack systems.
- Make infrastructure/engineering recommendations to optimize Elasticsearch data ingest and search
- Collaborate with business intelligence teams to architect, develop and optimize kibana visualizations
- Elasticsearch performance and configuration tuning.
- Maintain documentation and troubleshooting playbooks.
- Respond to and resolve access and performance issues.
- Maintain change control and testing processes for all modifications and deployments.
- Conduct research and make recommendations on big data products, services, and standards.
Requirements
- 2 + year experience with Elasticsearch and Kibana in a linux environment.
- 3+ years with Shell and Python scripting.
- Deep working knowledge of and proven experience with Elasticsearch, and Kibana.
- Experience working with and performance tuning large ELK clusters.
- Strong understanding of Elasticsearch index configuration options.
- Strong understanding of Kibana visualization strategies and techniques.
- Advanced knowledge of Elasticsearch sharing, partitioning, aliases, watchers, etc.
- Exposure to Splunk or other similar technologies is preferred.
