Manager likes our candidates, but they are all over-qualified. He is looking for someone with 5-10 years max experience who has hands-on Ops IT experience. Hands-on configuring servers, fixing issues on servers, coordinating password changes, and getting projects done (by doing hands-on work verses just updating the project status. Doesn't have to have cyber security experience, they can train in that, but must have interest in it. The Ops experience is wanted because people with Security experience tend to be auditors.

Duration: 6+ month contract
Job Description
Currently seeking a dynamic and creative individual for the role of Cyber security Project Manager to provide innovative project management services to the Cyber security team and IT function. This role will collaborate to strategically plan projects and execute the day to day project management activities. The position entails working with a diverse group of stakeholders at all levels of the organization, and the successful candidate will require the independent judgment to plan, prioritize, and organize a diverse workload.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Support cyber security team on multiple simultaneous projects and assignments
- Develop scope and schedule for assigned projects
- Identify and address areas of concern regarding potential risk surrounding project
- Proactively manage project related issues on accounts or assignments
- Conduct project up follow and reporting with stakeholders
- Promote security best practices
- Prepare/update project status reports, process invoices, update tracking reports, and maintain files
- Demonstrate a proactive focus on meeting client and project requirements in a timely and cost effective manner
- Identify technological opportunities and constraints for projects
- Perform analytics on varied data sets and SOC information to identify opportunities, threats, and constraints as they relate to cyber security or other projects
- Any other reasonable duties and responsibilities that may be assigned
Education and Training
Post-secondary education in Information Technology, Business Administration, Architecture, Engineering, or Project Management
Professional Experience
- Hands on Technical IT experience in infrastructure, operations, programming
- Must have a minimum of 5 years of relevant work experience, or combination of relevant work experience and education
- Must understand technical requirements for security and information technology
- Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills (verbal and written) with the ability to successfully communicate with various stakeholders
- Must have strong organizational and time management skills
- Must be able to adapt and prioritize to meet deadlines and changing requirements
- Moderate flexibility with work hours
- Operates with a sense of urgency, quickly responding to Stakeholders
- Must be a creative thinker
- Professional yet personable demeanor
- SOC/incident response and identification experience
- Demonstrated leadership, responsiveness, and accountability
- Detail oriented with strong analytical skills
- Proactive and takes initiative
- Able to maintain confidentiality, utilize judgment, and work with minimal supervision
