1. General DevOps Requirements

 

·         At least 3-5 years of DevOps experience

·         Good written and verbal skills with the ability to work locally with the team in Danbury, CT and remotely.

o   The ability to articulate and document issues and tasks to technical and non-technical users is very important.  Many stakeholders are remote and good communication is essential.

o   Experience with working with engineering teams and customers whom may have integrations with our products whom you may have to work with to resolve issues.

o   Ability to work with offshore employees and partners from various global locations

·         Must have experience Blue-Green or Red-Black Deployment Models within a Cloud Infrastructure

·         Experience with the following CI/CD Tool/Software

o   Gitlab – more than simple tacit information but also good knowledge of branching and merging from the command line

o   Jenkins deployment tool

o   Maven

·         Terraform and Cloud Formation Scripting Experience Preferred (Chef, Puppet, Ansible scripting as an alternative)

·         Experience with one or more of the following programming language including having deployed programs to production

o   Python (preferred)

o   Java

o   Javascript

o   Go

o   C#

o   C/C++ (nice to have)

·         Networking experience and understands how to setup and configure network settings including certificate deployments, NAT Gateway, security groups, load balancers within AWS

 

 

2. Linux (Amazon AMI) Stack DevOps Requirements

·         Amazon Architect Certification (preferred but not required)

·         Understanding of how to develop a CI/CD pipeline including how to integrate automated testing

·         Must have experience with deployments into the following technologies

o   Amazon S3

o   Amazon Dynamo

o   Amazon Aurora (including multi-AZ and Multi-region deployment)

o   Amazon EC2

o   Amazon Elastic Beanstalk

o   Amazon Lambda (including APEX.run for deployment)

o   Amazon ECS (e.g. Docker Deployments)

o   Amazon SQS

o   Amazon SWF

o   Amazon Route 53

o   Amazon Security Groups

o   Ngnix

o   Node.js

·         Monitoring and Tracking Tools – Knowledge or one or more of the following

o   CloudWatch

o   Splunk

o   AppDynamics
Summologic

 

 

3. Windows Stack DevOps Requirements

·         Amazon Architect Certification (preferred but not required)

·         Understanding of how to develop a CI/CD pipeline including how to integrate automated testing with Microsoft TFS and/or GitLab

·         Experience with Octopus Deploy or excellent knowledge of Microsoft PowerShell

·         Experience with deployments into the following technologies

o   Amazon S3 (including mounting drives to Windows)

o   Amazon EBS (including mounting drives to Windows)

o   Amazon Dynamo

o   Amazon Aurora (including multi-AZ and Multi-region deployment)

o   Amazon RDS SQL Server 2014 or 2016 with Multi-AZ deployments

o   Amazon EC2 (as well as knowledge of migrating from EC2 Classic to EC2)

o   Amazon Elastic Beanstalk or Auto Scale Groups

o   Amazon Lambda for .NET (including APEX.run for deployment)

o   Amazon ECS (e.g. .NET Docker Deployments)

o   Amazon SQS

o   Amazon SWF

o   Amazon Route 53

o   Amazon Security Groups

o   Ngnix or Node.js on Windows and/or Linux

·         Monitoring and Tracking Tools – Knowledge or one or more of the following

o   CloudWatch

o   Splunk

o   AppDynamic
