Location: Dayton, OH

Duration: 12 - 18 Months+

Must have: AWS, Hadoop, Kafka, Spark, Java or Python Exp.

Must be EAD, GC, TN or Citizen Only!!

Job Description:

Position Summary: 

Seeking experienced Cloud Developer to implement AWS cloud services. The work will involve setting up a cloud environment, prototyping and validating implementation strategies and options, and porting functionality from existing systems to the AWS cloud This work will be in an Agile development environment. Experience with the following technologies is required (as indicated below). 

Technologies:

• AWS 

• AWS EMR 

• AWS SQS 

• Hadoop or like MapReduce 

• YARN 

• Kafka or like Streaming methodology 

• Spark – Required 

• Spark Streaming 

• Java or Python 

Experience:

o Verbal and written communication skills, problem solving skills, interpersonal skills 

o Strong ability to work independently and manage one's time 

o Strong mentoring skills for bringing others up to speed on Cloud programming and deliverables produced 

o Strong knowledge of the full software development lifecycle: from business/systems analysis, through requirements gathering and functional specification authoring, to development, testing and delivery 

o Strong ability to troubleshoot issues and make system changes as needed to resolve issue 

o Knowledge of computer development software as it relates to systems, such as AWS Cloud technologies, SQL, Java, etc.
