Position – Sr Network Engineer
Location – Appleton, WI
Duration – 6-12+ Month Contract

As the Sr Network Engineer, you will work in a senior role to support our clients divisions with the configuration and management of the enterprise network infrastructure. The security risk level for this position is high; therefore, the incumbent may be subject to additional background screening requirements.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities
Service Management:
Third level ticket investigation and resolution
Analysis and Problem Management
Problem analysis - Reviews, analyzes and evaluates network infrastructure and makes recommendations for improvement and optimization
Work with users to determine needs and requirements and recommends ways to improve systems; Perform estimate of problem resolution for network infrastructure related problems (LAN, WAN, wireless, security, video, voice)
Document resolution procedures and conduct Post Mortems
Technical Support:
Maintain working knowledge of network infrastructure systems in a large enterprise environment
Design and configuration of network infrastructure (LAN, WAN, WLAN)
Design and configuration of video solutions (Video bridge and endpoints)
Design and configuration of security systems (Firewalls, Internet Filtering, wired/wireless security authentication)
Ensures compliance with SOX, security audit remediation and change management practices and policies
Development of technical solution designs and documentation to meet business requirements
Project Management:
Supports and complies with Project Methodology Office (PMO) processes and procedures
Oversees projects that involve network infrastructure support
Expected to manage and address mid-size projects independently and coordinate team member participation
Project and status communication
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field with 7+ years related experience
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
CCNP, CCNA
In depth understanding with network concepts and terminology to include, VLANS, routing protocols, Voice over IP, Quality of Service
High competency with routing and switching protocols, design concepts and configurations to include troubleshooting implementing VLANS
Spanning Trees, SVIs, HSRP, ACLs, OSPF (or at least EIGRP)
Redistributing routing protocols with Route Maps/Prefix Lists
Cisco Nexus experience with 2K/5K/7K - troubleshooting and implementation
Cisco Wireless experience with 5508 WLCs - APs - 3500/3600/3700, etc. - troubleshooting and implementation
Cisco ASA experience a plus
F5 or other Load-Balancing experience a plus
High competency on video conferencing designs, and solutions
High competency on firewall and Internet content filtering solutions (Checkpoint Firewall and Blue Coat Proxy administration) a plus
Strong verbal communication and technical writing skills
