Job Title : Devops Engineer
Duration : 12+ months
Location : Chevy Chase, MD
Primary Skills: ITSM processes, Linux/Unix,Cloud
Required Skills/Qualifications:
- 7+ years of experience in IT including operational support in a distributed computing environment
- 2+ years of experience in managing DevOps teams using Agile methodologies and enabling continuous delivery pipeline
- Minimum 2+ years of experience in Cloud technologies and integration of off-prem and on-prem applications
- 5+ years of experience in supporting production applications and familiar with change control and ITSM processes
- Minimum 3+ years of experience in working with J2EE applications deployed on Linux/Unix environment
- Ability and desire to learn new technologies and keep up with fast changing technology landscape
- Good verbal and written communication skills, time management and delegation skills
- Experience with improving productivity through automation and proven track record of providing excellent customer service
- Experience with coaching and mentoring and developing associates to be their best
- A degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems or a related field is required
Desired Skills/Qualifications:
- Knowledge of J2EE applications deployed on Tomcat, JBoss, Websphere, Weblogic and Apache
- Knowledge of relations databases such as Oracle, DB2, MS-SQL
- Experience with Microstrategy, Qlik, SAS Grid, Hadoop
- Scripting languages such as Bash Shell, Perl, Ruby or Python
- Experience in developing standards and processes
- Prior experience in configuration management and release management
- Knowledge of Cloud technologies and data security in a Cloud environment
