Below is the job description. Ruby is required. Again very strong comm skills are needed. Contract through the end of 2017. Will extend for exceptional people.
The Cerner product in this group helps nurses in the field manage their day to day patient work flows with internal hospital teams.
Actions like ordering medication, ordering services – clinical charting, xray, movement, patient release and patient monitoring and tracking. All the in between workflows other than interactions with Doctors.
Part of the team is a functional group of Solutions Designers/Nursing specialist that work as product owners and deal directly with nursing professionals and bring that information back to the team. They work with the customers to finalize the workflow and product presentations. The team works on Device integration as well, work flow and integration into existing systems and other Cerner Products.
Tech Stack is primarily Java, Core Java, the do not use a lot of specialized libraries so good "raw" Java skills are necessary to succeed, Strong OO skills, Critical Thinking and good problem solving.
Other tools Restful Web Services, JIRA, GIT, JQuery, SVN (version control) SQL skills,
Cameron says they will try to find out how a consultant used the products like JIRA, or GIT to solve Enterprise level problems and solutions
The Health Care Domain is difficult to pick up and they usually spend about 75% of the training time getting consultants up to speed
Communication and Comprehension skills are critical. 9/10 they really would like to see some local Senior level Java Developers, with English as a first Language.
Team is large around 100 head count 90% or so Cerner employees, 60 on site and 40 off shore
This is an ongoing project and could extend for exceptional candidates.
