POSITION:

 

Position Role                    : Pega Application Support Engineer

Assignment Location      : San Francisco, CA         

Project Duration              : Long Term

 

REQUIREMENT:

 

Pega Application Support Engineer will work with operational areas to diagnose and resolve all issues. He/She will be responsible for the issue until it is resolved. This is a 24X7 applications support team operating in a rotating shift.

 

Responsibilities:

• Responding promptly to application alerts and issues.
• Level-2 Troubleshooting Applications / Infrastructure issues within benchmarked SLA's
• Responsible to report production impact details and able to elaborate to the management.
• Adhere to standards and processes for incident resolution.
• Maintain production support run docs for each application.
• Analyze and drive to RCA (Root Cause Analysis).
• Support enterprise quarterly HA/DR Sustained resiliency projects
• Collaborate with AppDev or engineering teams when issues arise that requires additional support.
• Implementing, measuring, and improving all processes, procedures, and activities required to ensure maximum availability, utility, flexibility, and responsiveness of the production environment.
• Technical writing skills with the ability to create or modify run-books as needed.
• Perform implementation, maintenance, remediation, and troubleshooting services for enterprise applications
• Assist in testing and monitoring systems changes implemented by the organization
• Ensure compliance with Client policies and procedures

 

Qualifications

 

• 5 years' minimum experience in a BPM Support team
• Knowledge of programming and design experience utilizing JAVA
• 4+ years working experience with application server technology (Websphere / UNIX / Windows preferred)
• 3+ years of demonstrated experience with Pega Systems PRPC (6.1 & 7.1 and above is preferred)
• 3+ years of experience using/supporting standard interface protocols (i.e. SOAP, REST, HTTP, EJB, etc.)
• Demonstrated experience with SQL /SQL Developer / ORACLE is a PLUS
• Strong knowledge of using tools such as SPLUNK is desired
