Role: Java Support Lead
Location: Eden Prairie, MN
Duration: 6 month CT
Mode of interview: phone
USC/GC/EAD Only
Responsibilities:
1. Provide production support of several Priority 1 external facing critical business applications
2. Work with the on / offshore production support team handling Incident and Problem tickets
3. Provide on - call support (24x7) during critical issue resolution
4. Ensure overall organizational support goals are met (i.e. SLA, incident / problem reduction, application availability)
5. Coordinate root cause analysis efforts for permanent resolution on all Incidents
6. Ability to troubleshoot complex production issues
7. Manage infrastructure upgrade projects
8. Collaborate with cross functional teams on issue resolution
9. Work with the Development team to understand the new functionality being deployed and ensure all support readiness requirements are met
10. Mentor junior team members providing training and technical direction as needed
11. Ability to adjust both written and oral communications to a variety of different audiences
12. Ability to work independently to complete assigned tasks
Required:
1. Knowledge of Object Oriented Programming (OOPS) concepts
2. 5+ years of experience with the Software Development including production support.
3. Hands on experience with Java / J2EE / JSP / JSF development.
4. Experience with UNIX and Shell Scripting
5. Experience with developing APIs or Web Services
6. Experience with RDBMS (Oracle or SQL or DB2)
7. Knowledge of SVN or any other source code control systems
8. Knowledge of XML, SOAP and WSDL
9. Experience with WebSphere
10. Knowledge of integrated platform as a service (iPaaS) technology such as Mule / IIB ESB
Assets:
1. Experience with Waterfall and Agile methodology
2. Knowledge of Gateway such as Layer 7 or Data Power
3. Experience with HTML5, CSS and JavaScript
4. Experience with Ruby on Rails
5. Experience with mobile application development - CQ5
6. Experience working with offshore teams
7. Experience working within a matrix organization
8. Exposure to ITIL
9. Healthcare Industry Experience
10. Knowledge of HP ServiceNow or similar tool
11. Strong analytical and problem solving skills
12. Good interpersonal skills
13. Ability to work independently as well as a team
14. Strong communication skills
