Description:
Responsibilities include: Maintain, upgrade & troubleshoot production Oracle RAC databases. Manage engineered systems (Exadata, Supercluster). Maintain cascaded Dataguard standbys. Work with
multiple storage devices (ZFS, Kaminario, Exadata). Create rman backups for disaster/recovery scenarios. Communicate critical support issues identified to Oracle Support Services. Coordinate with Oracle
Platinum Support for engineered system patching. Patch Oracle database software. Analyze Exacheck reports and awr reports (proactive troubleshooting). Performance tune database parameters and SQL.
Participate in complex data modeling, mapping, integration, and capacity planning efforts.Provide on-call support. Research new Oracle features and functionality. Use OEM to monitor DB servers and
storage. Perform tasks associated with design, performance tuning, troubleshooting issues, monitoring operational activities like backup, statistics gathering, performance, growth and sizing, adding space
on databases.
