Title: SAS Developer
Location: Washington, DC
Duration : 6 month CTH
Job Description:
Forecast Model built using SAS with UNIX Shell Scripts (Linux) and Autosys. RTI uses SAS and UNIX shell script.
The position requires SAS programming experience to maintain and support the existing models, production, business, and other processes.
It will also require Shell Scripting and Autosys experience to integrate the component into the existing HPFA and RTI framework.
The contractor must be 5+ years of SAS development experience. It would be strongly preferable if the contractor also has 3+ years of Shell Scripting experience.
As part of an agile team, the contractor may also need to work on additional technologies such as Java for test automation and Tableau for reporting.
JOB INFORMATION
Apply your software development expertise to implement financial models for corporate accounting and corporate forecast use. Gain exposure to model research and model use to provide senior management the
results to set corporate direction.
SPECIALIZED KNOWLEDGE&SKILLS
Require a strong understanding of numerical and statistical techniques
At least 4 years of experience with SAS in a UNIX/SASGrid Environment.
Familiarity with Software Engineering techniques using Object Oriented language such as Java, C++, and Python preferred.
Experience with UNIX and LINUX Scripting (ksh), Subversion/Clearcase/ClearQuest, Excel are required.
Proficient in coding advanced modeling concepts and mathematical equations.
Experience with sophisticated models (financial or scientific) and data analysis is preferred.
Knowledge of compute-intensive analytics and technical computing workload solutions.
Knowledge of Tableau and Hadoop, a plus
Experience in the financial services industry, especially a background in risk management or home price forecasting or estimation, is a plus.
