Very Urgent Need for Tester/QA in Bethesda, MD, 5 years contract

Client:  HRSA - Health resources Services Administration – MD

 

Tester/QA 

Location: Bethesda, MD

Duration: 5 year award; either long term contract or potential to convert.

Interviews: direct In-person only,  on next Friday 15^th July.

Expected start date: August 1^st week   

MUST be Local to MD area

 

*Must be able to get Public Trust & MUST have 3 consecutive Years in USA

*Agile experience ideal but accept all methodologies - environment is a hybrid of build/test, then build/test, etc. Not build over period of time then test last. 2 week sprints cycles.

* Needs to have strong communication and good in client facing role as well as collaborating with internal teams, thrive in changing environment  

*Remote/ telework is acceptable once proven.  Generally team is in the office 3-4 days a week.

*Need manual and automation - transition experience a plus.

*Basic use of SQL or Database Query tools important/key

*Use automation tool called Proof - don't need development component - no dev help needed to set up automation.

*Visual Studio / TFS

 

Overview:

  Position will include but not be limited to creation of test plan and test cases (application and function level), execution of test cases and reporting defects, verification of fixes, regression testing.

 

REQUIRED EDUCATION/SKILLS:

• Bachelor's Degree in related field and 2-8 plus years of related experience is required. Years of experience can be used in lieu of degree.

• Detailed knowledge of S/W verification and validation processes and procedures.

• Experience in writing manual test scripts.

• Excellent debugging and trouble shooting skills.

• Ability to work independently in an agile software lifecycle environment.

 

DESIRED SKILLS:

 • 2-8 years of experience writing and executing test scripts.

• S/W testing related training and or certification (ISEB, IIST)

• Experience with automated testing tools

• Basic use of SQL or Database Query tools

• Knowledge and or Experience with Agile Development

• Knowledge of Microsoft's Team Foundation Server suite of products.
