Role - Hadoop Architect
Location - Charlotte, NC
Duration - 6+ Months
Job Description:
· Ensures team to Develop, Enhance, debug, support, maintain and tests software applications that support business units or supporting functions. These application program solutions may involve diverse development platforms, software, hardware, technologies and tools.
· May provide technical direction and system architecture for individual initiatives. Serves as a fully seasoned/proficient technical resource
· May have responsibility for a project and project budget
· Routine accountability is for technical knowledge and capabilities
· Works under minimal supervision, with general guidance from more seasoned consultants. Typically requires 7-10 years of IT experience.
· Responsibilities
· Leads development/ maintenance activities in HaaS Platform from India
· Accountability for Technical deliverables
· Support during platform migrations, new functionality implementations
· Supports best practices, platform usage standards and guidelines
· Resource management
· Be a key contributor to initiatives that require technical expertise
Required Skills (Must Have)
· 4 Year Degree Computer Science/ Software Engineering or related degree program, or equivalent application development, implementation and operations experience
· Proven Understanding of Cloudera Hadoop and Apache ecosystem namely YARN, Impala, Hive, Flume, HBase, Sqoop, Apache Spark, Apache Storm, Crunch, Java, Oozie, SQOOP, Pig, Scala, Python, Kerberos/Active Directory/LDAP, etc.
· Very good understanding of Linux OS and Linux/Unix scripting
· Minimum 3+ years of related database development experience, including Data Architect experience working with Big Data technologies such as Hadoop, ETL tools, and large datasets
· Experience and detailed knowledge of Hadoop development utilizing SyncSort DMX-H, Subversion, SQL Knowledge or equivalent technologies
· Excellent verbal and written skills, Proficient with MS office Tools, Strong analytical and problem solving skills
· Very good SDLC working knowledge. Experience inAgile/Scrum methodologies/processes

· Strong leadership presence. Can-do attitude. Positive and proactive leadership style
· Excellent communication skills, particularly those relating to complex findings and presenting them to ensure audience appeal at various levels of the organization
· Ability to coordinate activities related to special initiatives or operations
· Mentoring of junior team members
· Quite knowledgeable of industry standards and trends in Hadoop
· Ability to integrate research and best practices into problem avoidance and continuous improvement"
