Role:  Build & Release/DevOps Engineer

Location: Weehawken, NJ

Work Location: 6 Months (extension possible)

Interview: Phone/ Skype

Years of Experience: 8+

Note: We need Photo visa copy (H1b)

 

Required Experience and Technical Skills:

• Supporting all end to end eCommerce non production (test, performance, UAT and demo) test environments.

• Deploying new build versions to test environments including managing the dependencies of services and builds.

• Automation of deployment process to test environments where possible, in coordination with Dev teams as needed.

• Troubleshooting technical issues with software configuration or networking

• Ensuring that accurate configuration data is maintained for all supported environments.

• Contributing to the development of standards and policies for environment maintenance and administration.

• Supporting complex integration testing with multiple systems and teams around the globe.

• Collaboration with and assistance to the production support team on any matters concerning the production and contingency environments.

• Take all reasonable steps to ensure appropriate confidentiality

 

Requirements:

• Good understanding of the software development life cycle

• Demonstrable track record of providing support of test or development environments

• Experience of working with development teams to automate and improve deployment processes.

• Very good knowledge of Linux OS and command line tools

• Good knowledge of Apache web server and DNS

• Working knowledge of SQL and RMDS databases.

• Ability to understand, write and maintain shell scripts (bash)

• Ability to troubleshoot both networking issues and issues with Java applications

• Ability to work with and participate within a large professional team Additional assets Experience of deployment automation tools Knowledge of messaging systems (MQ, Solace, Tibco etc) Knowledge of network load balancers Knowledge of Apache Tomcat Experience of maintaining build scripts using Maven Agile Scrum work experience with global team
