General:

3-10+ years' experience in the development of computer software and significant experience in Java. 

Worked in Distributed computing software development 

Loves to write code, fast learner of new technologies, agile attitude, not afraid of taking educated risks into new domains. 

Design skills and the ability to write clear software design documents. 

Good understanding of high performance, scalable and distributed systems. 

Good communication skills and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced development team. 

  

Primary Skills :

Distributed computing: Apache Storm, Apache Spark, Apache Samza 

Distributed queue: Apache Kafka 

Distributed datastore: Apache ZooKeeper 

Knowledge at some of those: Spring framework, High Performance, Concurrency, NIO, DirectBuffers, JVM tuning, JProfiler) 

  

Nice to Have: 

Distributed database: OrientDB/InfluxDB/Druid/Redis/MongoDB/Cassandra/Postgres 

Distributed schedulers: Mesos, Kubernetes 

Text indexing: ElasticSearch, LogStash, Fluentd, Apache Flume, Kibana 

Other: Apache HTTPd/Tomcat, HAProxy/Nginx, Serf 

Distributed file-systems (Ceph, Lustre, HDFS, XtreemFS, etc.) 

Gradle, Ansible, Vagrant, Jenkins, Ubuntu Juju 

Cross-language message serialization and RPC: (Thrift / PhotoBuffers / MessagePack / Avro) 

Grafana, Graphite, d3.js, AngularJS
