Job Description:
Android embedded (system, preinstalled) applications development, Android embedded frameworks development and maintenance. Good understanding and practical experience of multithreading and IPC. Good understanding an practical experience in Java and C\C++. Good debugging expertise, knowledge of how to effectively (not using logcat) debug Memory leaks, ANRs, Native and Java crashes. Ability to profile and improve a performance issues is a plus. Experience in Automotive domain is a big plus.
We are looking for someone with experience developing Android apps and services and that has a good understanding of the overall Android system.
Developers expertise should be more concentrated on Android App & Services providers – Java with knowledge of Android application Framework Architecture and APIs
· From Apps point of view:
o Audio, Phone
o Climate
o Home Screen
o Projection
o Camera
o They have UI widgets too.
· Android Application Level – pure Java experience or full chain App <-> JNI <–> C++ Native Services
· Android Service Providers Level – pure Java experience or full chain Service Provider <-> JNI <–> C++ Native Services
· Android Content Providers Level pure Java experience or full chain Service Provider <-> JNI <–> C++ Native Services
· Any specific protocols & services knowledge such as BT profiles, Media Streaming , etc.
· Android Framework knowledge would be a big plus.
· Have done some Android framework porting and have some past experience developing in C++.
· S/W debugging hands-on experience on an embedded platform
· Ability to debug on native level of Android
· Knowledge of Android architecture and overall stack is a great plus
The apps we work are Audio, Phone, Climate, Home Screen, Projection, Camera etc and we have UI widgets too.
