Must Have
• Strong Windows Server experience with IIS and MSSQL
• Powershell Scripting (and some VBScripting)
• Experience upgrading and maintaining Azure
Job Description
• Manage Windows servers running IIS, MSSQL, DFS, SharePoint and other Microsoft services, as well as development cloud environments in Azure for a 1400 person, award winning, digital agency.
• Create Powershell and vb scripts to automate routine tasks.
• Develop methods to streamline the process of building and deploying new Windows VMs, patching server, etc.
• Track license usages, assist in developing yearly budgets, and investigate new, transformative, products.
Job Responsiblities
• Configure, deploy, harden, and tune Windows servers and other Microsoft services
• Plan and execute an upgrade from on-prem development to Azure
• Write and update powershell scripts to facilitate daily tasks
• Track incidents and projects using a web-based ticketing system
• This position is expansive and responsibilities and accountabilities will change as frequently as necessary to move the business forward and provide adequate work load-balancing among the members of the department
• Documentation of all systems and training materials
Job Requirement
Applications must meet the following requirements to be considered:
• Must have an advanced or very advanced proficiency in Windows scripting languages, particularly Powershell and vbScript
• Minimum of 10 years working in a robust capacity with Windows systems
• Minimum of 5 years working in a robust capacity with development tools and platforms (IIS, MSSQL, Jenkins, .Net, etc)
• Work well independently and within a small team setting.
• Strong interpersonal skills are essential
• Solid understanding of core IT technologies including familiarity with standard IP protocols (IPsec, dot1x, DNS, STMP, HTTP/S, etc)
• Working knowledge of vmware vSphere and Microsoft Hyper-V
• Must have exceptionally strong work ethic and be able to manage multiple major projects simultaneously
• Experience working with Commvault a plus
