Project: Implementation of Office 365 and VMware
Client: CalPER's
Location: Sacramento, CA
Duration: May 1, 2015 through December 31, 2015
PROJECT OVERVIEW:
· The California Public Employees' Retirement System (CalPERS), Information Technology Services Branch (ITSB), Customer Technologies and Support Division (CTSD) has requested assistance from Vendor Name, to provide Project Management Services to oversee and orchestrate the implementation of Office 365 and VMware projects at CalPERS.
PROJECT SCOPE/TASKS
· The Senior Project Manager provides Project Management Services related to the detailed planning, preparation, and implementation of the Office 365 and VMware projects and, if needed, ongoing efforts in support of the My|CalPERS system.
· The Scope of Work to be performed includes, but is not limited to, the following:
· Perform detailed initiative planning and manage execution of VMware implementation activities.
· Develop and maintain a "big" picture project plan and roadmap of the critical implementation milestones and activities.
· Provide regular status reporting on implementation efforts to CalPERS management.
· Oversee and/or direct execution of work plans and assist project team members as needed.
· Oversee and/or direct environment planning and management for infrastructure build, test and implementation activities.
· Oversee development and implementation of a production quality control process for both Windows Migrations and KVM Conversions.
· Track and report status of implementation issues and risks.
· Facilitate the resolution of open issues and the mitigation of risks.
· Participate in addressing escalated risks, issues and related action items.
· Participate in project and other meetings as required.
· Attend and/or facilitate meetings as needed.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
· PMP Certification
· Previous VMware implementations
· Minimum of 5 Years Project Management Experience
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
· Previous Office 365 implementations
