Qualifications:
Our client seeks a Java/J2EE application developer with a background providing application development and support services for financial applications. The person chosen must have practical work experience as a JAVA/J2EE application developer, good problem solving and operations support experience and outstanding verbal and written communications skills. Within this role, the person chosen will be supporting existing financial applications in an Insurance and Financial services organization.
Responsibilities & Skills for this position includes:
· Financial application product support experience
· Java/J2EE Application Development experience
· Struts experience
· Spring experience
· JavaScript
· Cascading Style Sheets
· JSP development /support experience
· WSAD development experience
· XML
· HTML
· SOA concepts
· Good understanding of WAS 8.5 infrastructure
· Reusable Services Catalog (RSC)
Other Key Skills for this role include:
· Exceptional verbal and written communications skills (English)
· Teamwork, can work creatively with team members to develop new solutions
· Outstanding problem solving abilities
· A willingness to learn new techniques, concepts and approaches to customer application development
· Self-starter with a personal drive and initiative to continue to develop professionally
· Weekends required during software implementations and software check-out processing (as needed)
