Rate: $60 /hr C2C

Weekly Work Schedule: Candidates are able to work Mon-Thur 4 x 10s with MOST Fridays off!

·         Job Summary:

o   Technical Skills Requested

§  Senior Java Development – 6+ years of experience

§  BigData & NoSQL databases, specifically MongoDB – 2+ years of experience

§  IBM DB2 Databases – 4+ years of experience

§  JBoss/Drools and/or JBoss/Guvnor rules engine

§  Good communication skills

o   Job Duties / Project Goals

§  The State's overall eligibility and enrollment systems (eRep and myCase) are undergoing planned component upgrades and modernization activities.  

·         These steps include both version upgrades of core technologies (i.e. Java v1.6 to 1.8; IBM DB2 v9.7 to 10.5; Mongo noSQL upgrade v2.3 to 3.1); and expansion of new or replacement technologies (i.e. muleSoft ESB).

§  In addition to the supporting the existing eligibility and enrollment solutions, the State is also designing, developing, deploying, and supporting new and exciting solutions to best meet new business demands and employ industry best practices.

§  To this end, the State of Utah has an immediate need for a Senior Java Developer focusing on application development.  The candidate will be directly involved with refactoring and structuring select elements of legacy frameworks and code to new or upgraded technologies.  

·         The candidate will be working with a dedicated development and infrastructure development team developing on Utah's best of class integration platform supporting Utah's enterprise Eligibility and Enrollment solution.

§  The developer must be able to work independently as well as in a team environment.  The candidate needs to be able to mentor and train junior level programmers.
