Need: zOS_VM mainframe developer, Seattle

zOS_VM mainframe developer

(Participate in the VM mainframe applications migration project.

Develop solutions, from requirements to build, test, to deployment, to migrate all VM mainframe applications to the new application technology and server platform. Some applications or processes will be migrated to the mainframe zOS. Create new or update existing system and process documentation.)

 

Location - Seattle

 

Must Have Skills:

 

·         Minimum two year working experience developing and supporting applications running in the zOS/VM mainframe environment with the following technology and tools:

·         Mainframe environments: zOS and VM

·         Programming languages: FOCUS, FOCEXEC, REXX, PLI, COBOL, CRTFORM, VM CMS commands, ISPF Dialog Manager

·         Database: FOCUS, full suite of an integrated set of tools: report writer, database manager, code generator, menus, screens

·         VMCenter tool suite (VMBACKUP, VMSECURE…) from Computer Associates is a plus 

·         Source code: Librarian

·         IMS DC online, MFS screens,  IMS/DB

·         Tools: ISPF Dialog Manager, TSO ISPF, CLIST, JCL, Debugger, File Manager or equivalent
