Need Sr. Java Programmer

Location : Northern NJ

Duration :12 Months

Need GC/Citizen 

The Sr. Java Programmer will be responsible for designing and developing web applications using the existing tools and frameworks. The programmer will be responsible for support and maintenance of existing Java applications, and will be required to document all designs and participate in design and code reviews. Additional tasks and responsibilities can be assigned as necessary and based upon business needs.

Responsibilities can include:

Web and client based application design and development

1. Update and Maintain existing applications, recommend corrections, and develop corrections.
2. Participate in Unit testing and integration testing of all applications.
3. Will help in researching and testing of new technologies and procedures.
4. Will be required to follow all existing development procedures.

Support and maintenance of existing applications

1. Assist in supporting existing Java applications leveraged across the enterprise.
2. Work with support center and 2^nd level support.

Required Skills:

• 6+ years on Java Development Experience
• 5+ years of IT specific career experience
• 2 plus years of experience with Struts or Spring framework
• Strong knowledge of Java for web application development
• Experience in building and supporting applications for enterprise sized user communities
• Excellent oral and written communication and organizational skills

Desired Skills:

• BS in a Computer Related Major
• Retail experience is a major Plus
