Essential Responsibilities

• Have ability to configure ServiceNow prototypes to refine requirements and translate business needs for engineering implementation
• Develop and customize ServiceNow – from collecting requirements, writing implementation plans, to coding and execution of those plans.
• Transform functional requirements into detailed technical designs that represent actionable development tasks
• Create and maintain API and data integration processes between ServiceNow and other systems

• Ensure that technical designs meet functional design requirements as well as maintain the integrity and sustainability of the application.

• Well-versed in Agile development methodologies
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Demonstrated ability to manage and direct internal/external clients around all key technical decisions during project delivery
• Experience driving complex product development initiatives from concept through release
• Ability to pull a diverse group of individuals with different goals together and facilitate productive discussions

•      Create and review service metrics (KPIs) that identify the success of the services being utilized to recommend and coordinate implementation of changes to ITSM services to improve metrics

•      Direct leadership of a team of developers or contractors

 

Qualifications/Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Information Systems or technical degree or 7+  years' experience in IT application development
• Minimum 2 years' experience with ServiceNow development or minimum 1 year of experience with Enterprise scale Software as a Service (SaaS) or Platform as a Service (Paas) implementations

• Demonstrated technical experience with: ServiceNow, JavaScript, AJAX, Web Services (SOAP, REST), XML, HTML, CSS, MySQL, Mongo DB, Java
• ServiceNow  Implementation Certification
• ITIL v3 Certification
• Strong team player – collaborates well with others to solve problems and actively incorporates input from various sources
• Strong analytical skills – strong problem solving skills, communicates in a clear and succinct manner and effectively evaluates information / data to make decisions; anticipate obstacles and develop plans to resolve
• Change oriented – actively generates process improvements; supports and drives change, and confronts difficult circumstances in creative ways.

 

Role Summary/Purpose

·         The Developer will be supporting a large ServiceNow development initiative. The role should have fluency in ServiceNow development principles that enables them to work with our Program Manager, external development partners, and key stakeholders to develop enterprise business solutions for our internal customers that leverage ITIL processes and best practices. The successful candidate will be part of a team responsible for the enhancement of the ServiceNow platform and must be able to act with a sense of urgency and adapt to changing priorities.
