Job Position: Systems Architect
Location: El Segundo, CA
Duration: Long Term Contract

 

!! Note: Must have prior strong experience working with application owners, to design underlying infra architecture for a variety of application types !!

Primary Responsibilities:
As a Systems Architect, you will design and deploy the underlying IT infrastructure components (Linux servers, VMware, Storage, Network) to support the rollout of new applications. 
Apply understanding of how various applications consume the underlying infrastructure, to create infrastructure architectures which are scalable and highly available, including clustering and load-balancing.

 

Mandatory skills:
Must have prior strong experience working with application owners, to design underlying infra architecture for a variety of application types.
Create documentation suitable for presenting to operations, engineering and executive team
Communicate the IT infrastructure designs and concepts to software architecture, infrastructure architecture, operations and executive teams
Lead technical decision making exercises
Remain informed on new technologies

 

Minimum Qualifications:
BS/CS Degree in a technical field or at least 12 years relevant experience
3+ years relevant work experience as a Systems Architect, in a similar role of designing and deploying IT infrastructure components in support of application rollouts.
Experience in VMware, LINUX and/or Windows platforms, and storage platforms.
Must be able to lead meetings and effectively summarize and prioritize topics

 

Desired Qualifications:
Masters degree in a related field
Knowledge of network technologies, common infrastructure components and physical infrastructure design.
