Title: Software Engineer
Location: Boston, MA
Duration: 6+ Months
· Strong C/C++ & Core JAVA (using version 1.5 & 1.6 so its older rel) programming skills as the code base isn't evenly split up and more often than not, it's in JAVA Roughly 1/3 of the code in the projects for which we are hiring is written in Java. Looking for people who are fluent with the language and have solid fundamentals and the core Java class libraries. If they haven't worked with multithreaded Java applications they may not be a good match.
· OOD/Multithreaded experience (Heavily multithreaded aps)
· Linux Make Files/Systems level Linux programming & Core Java
· Multi-threaded apps experience is key
· Strong C/C++ Linux, debug capability as well as needed
· Linux drivers experience even if light.....For the interviewees who faltered here, the general pattern the client saw that the candidate may have written device drivers in Linux but did not know much about the application layer. Device driver experience is a nice-to-have but what they really need is someone who is well versed in working with applications. If you have done any multithreaded applications that is a big plus.
