Project Overview
The Clinical Laboratory Results Modernization (CLRM) program is a series of related efforts that aim to:
- Consume, standardize, and store all of Lilly's clinical trial laboratory and diagnostics results and sample logistics data into one data warehouse where they will be integrated with other relevant clinical trial data and provided to the appropriate downstream systems.
- Take advantage of efficiencies enabled by the use of industry standards (e.g. CDISC Lab Data Model).
- Improve the quality of laboratory and diagnostics results sent to Lilly by its third party central vendors.
- Support Lilly's Clinical Laboratory Operations (CLO) business processes by providing central vendors with appropriate visibility into clinical trial data as it is being collected.
- Reduce costs by enabling the retirement of some clinical trial lab and diagnostic results systems.
CLRM Release 1 will focus on discreet lab, ECG reading and imaging reading results only. The scope of work for this engagement includes:
- Creating a reporting environment for CLRM R1 utilizing Microsoft BI technologies
- Creating 15 pre-defined reports, as well as providing ad hoc reporting capabilities
- Providing input into the documentation, testing, and training processes
Position Overview
The Sr. Microsoft BI Architect will be responsible for data modeling, cube design, application development, technical product assistance and tuning to meet customer performance and functional requirements:
- Create and develop SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS) packages
- Create and design SQL data models Server Analysis Services (SSAS) cubes
- Work with team to provide access to reports and data through SharePoint 2013
- Act as the subject matter expert for the input, analysis, and reporting of clinical trials & diagnostic data in a secure environment
- Provide input into the development or modification of data structures and schemas related to clinical trials data using CDISC standards
- Interact with business frequently to determine needs and project directions
- Advise business on best practices
- Perform cube design, development, and delivery estimation-provide work break down structures
- Provide content & collateral for user training and solution maintenance
Technical Skills
Must Have:
- Microsoft BI Experience including: Microsoft SQL Server, MS SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS), MS SQL data models Server Analysis Services (SSAS)
- Data warehouse design & development
- Data modeling & multi-dimensional cube development
- Experience integrating multiple data sources
- Reporting secured, clinical data in a controlled environment, including blinded data
- Experience with CDISC Lab Data Model
- Pharma/clinical experience is key
Nice to Have:
- MS SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS)
- SharePoint 2013 Development
- Oracle DB
- Planisware
Non-Technical Skills
Must Have:
- BI Consulting Practice Experience
- Pharmaceutical Industry Experience
- Self-starter, independently motivated, team-player, group collaborator
- Excellent verbal & written communication skills
