Position:  Mainframe Tester

Location:  Charlotte, NC

Duration:  6 months 

Rate: $50/hr C2C

 

JD

•7+ years IT quality assurance and systems/application testing experience

•Experience coordinating functional and regression testing efforts

•Experience defining test strategies, test plans, test cycles and test execution timelines

•Experienced in building and maintaining test environments processing of jobstreams

•3+ years experience as a mainframe testing analyst, operations analyst, or application analyst.

•3+ years experience working with Quality Center (or similar product).

•Experienced in the review and approval of version control packages

•Collaborate with multiple peers, vendors, QA groups (internal and external) and development groups at all levels for planning, coordinating, issue identification and resolution, risk mitigation and production implementation

•Experience performing moderately complex to complex test data conditioning. 

 

Preferred Qualifications:

•Experience using DB2 load/unload utilities and an understanding of relational databases

•Experienced in the review and approval of version control packages (using a system such as Changeman or Endevor).

•Experience with cobol code

•Experience in coordinating vendor activities related to large system setup, file transmissions, batch processing, dataset naming conventions  

•Experience with front office, mid-office and back office applications and functions

•Experience with the CICS relationship and management including initiation of CICS functions

•Experience with the Zeke scheduler in setting up EMRs

•Knowledge and experience with Agile Methodology

•Brokerage and/or Financial Services Industry knowledge

•BETA Thomson Reuters experience
