Risk Manager for a consulting opportunity
To assist the SRM IB COO Risk & Controls Group to ensure compliance with the client's policies and procedures. The primary responsibilities of the Risk and Controls Group include supporting the department on ensuring the appropriate policies, governance and overall controls function within SRM IB, as well as facilitating the understanding and implementation of policies and procedures in SRM IB.
This includes designing and documenting key processes and controls, updating departmental policies, control testing and supporting the SRM IB department as a whole in ensuring the appropriate policy, governance and controls are in place and are effective.
Duties and Responsibilities
The main duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Policy / Guideline Writer:
- Good understanding of front to back processes relating to Bank's global trading activities.
- Good understanding of market risk and market risk management processes is an advantage.
- Establishing and maintaining the Policies and Control processes within the SRM IB & US CRO departments.
- Ensuring all relevant policies, procedures and other documents are in place to meet LE requirements and maintenance of such documents thereafter.
- Establishing and maintenance of control processes within SRM IB & US CRO to address LE regulatory requirements and best practices.
- Define roles and responsibilities for 3 lines of defence in the U.S.
- Determine, based on analysis, the policy/guidelines updates that are required.
- Drafting of policy/guidelines to address needs
- Strong ability to interpret processes and write policy documentation.
- Ability to articulate findings in a clear and concise fashion.
- Creation of presentation materials.
- Creation of formal process documentation.

- ability to discuss and present topics with senior level managers
Self-starter with ability to work independently, take ownership of tasks, project manage their completion, and deliver under tight timelines, proven persistence.
