Title: Network Engineer

Location: Redmond, WA
Duration: Long Term Contract

 

Job description:  

·         Install, configure and troubleshoot Local Area Network or Wireless Network electronics such as routers, switches, VPN's,.

·         Ability to gather, document, and present specific customer requirements in a methodical manner

·         Develop and present Local Area and Wireless Network diagrams and drawings that meet customer requirements and documentation to assist in communicating current operational status of networks to the command

·         Understanding of all OSI layers from application to physical, knowledge of RIP, OSPF and BGP

·         CCNP minimum required and/or equivalent certifications,

·         Experience working on Cisco ASR 9001 & ASR 1006

• Expert-level understanding of Layer 2 and 3 inter networking technologies
• Sound understanding and working knowledge of TCP/IP, access-control lists, policy-based routing, firewalls, peering, and DNS

·         Experience with F5 load balancer preferred.

·         Ability to comprehend, analyze and research problems of a complex nature, make judgment decisions and recommendations as to their solution

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Proven skills in problem solving and decision making
• Excellent interpersonal, organizational, leadership and mentoring skills
• Strong communication skills (verbal, written, presentation).
• Ability to prioritize, multi-task and maintain flexibility in a fast-paced environment.

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, computer science, or equivalent work experience.
• 5+ years of experience as Network Engineer
• Deep understanding of BGPv4, OSPF, MPLS , IPv4, IPV6
• Experience on ASR9001s and ASR1006s Routers.
• CCNP Certification Required
• Proficiency with MS Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Visio
