Rate: 55-60/hr.

Location: Superior, CO

Client: SanDisk

Duration: 12 months

 

Seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join the highly-collaborative development team, having technical and leadership responsibilities in all stages of the product lifecycle including architecture, design, development and release of the product.

·         Designing, coding and debugging applications primarily in Java on Linux.  The primary focus of the role will be API level development for virtual volume management specific to VMware and the Storage Appliance.  The link below provides great insight about the nature of the project.

·         Develop automated testing for your code using scripting languages like Python or Perl (Python preferred)

*Virtualization experience with VMware is a must given the nature and focus of the project (very good insight about nature of project can be found here. 

·         Storage domain experience would likely be very helpful, but not a requirement – after all we are redefining storage as we know it!

·         Position responsibilities include software analysis, code analysis, requirements analysis, software review, and performance tuning / optimization

·         Support, maintain and document software functionality

·         Integrate software with existing systems

·         Strong problem solving and debugging skills

·         High engineering standards and a passion for developing leading edge software

 

Qualifications:

·         Experience with software development using Core Java at the API level

·         Write clean code that works as intended in the least complex form needed

·         Experience with web service development (SOAP, WSDL)

·         B.Sc. in Computer Science.  M.S preferred.

·         Minimum of 5+ years of relevant experience

·         Python, REST API, C++…all may have benefits as secondary areas of knowledge

·         Experience with collaborative dev tools, including source control tools such as SVN
