Our Government client is seeking a DOT NET Developer for a 8 - 12 Month contract in Raleigh, NC.

Description:

Client is seeking to hire on contract a Mid to Senior Level C#.Net Developer as part of the NC DOT Web Services Team to independently support and maintain system. This position is for a .NET Developer with strong C# skills that has the experience and desire to work with clients. This role reports to the Web Applications Supervisor and collaborates with other Web Services developers.  Responsibilities: • Consult with clients and help produce and define business requirement for new applications • Create milestones and project timeline estimates  • Design, code and test new Windows and web software applications. Must be able to develop an application from conception through the entire Development Lifecycle. • Maintain existing software systems by identifying and correcting software defects.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Requirements:

Technical Skills: • Proven experience in the following: MVC3 or greater, HTML, CSS, XML, XSLT, JavaScript and jQuery.  • Strong understanding of SQL and relational database technologies such as MS SQL Server, including database design, T-SQL, stored procedures, and triggers, etc • Proficiency using Visual Studio 2013 and a Source Control Solution like GIT or Team Foundation Server • Experience in maintaining and troubleshooting Windows/IIS platform experience • Strong exposure to object oriented design and development is necessary Communication Skills: • Self-motivated and self-driven is a must with the ability to work with limited supervision • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal • Able to lead and motivate others to accomplish a common goal Preferred • Experience working directly with clients • Experience with community based .NET frameworks like nLog, log4net, nunit, etc...
