Job Title: Informatica admin
Work Location: Honolulu, HI
Duration: 6 months
Rate: $55/hr
Role System Administrator ( Informatica )
Mandatory Technical / Functional Skills
• Must have 8+ years of total IT experience in Informatica ETL developmetn and minimum 3 years in Administration
• Upgrade experience from 8.X to 9.X and its patches is a must
• On hand experience in setting and managing the ETL environment using Informatica for Dev, QA, Prod
• Skill on upgrading version and applying fix and patch on the servers
• Hand on experience in using deployment groups
• Sound knowledge in IDQ, Meta data manger
• Understands and enforces coding standards and best practices.
• Experience in setup the repository
• Prior work experience in data ware house methodology and techniques
Roles and responsibility • Responsible for understanding the requirement, prepare technical design, reviewing architecture, based on functional specifications for new components
• Doing Root Cause Analysis on Production
• Responsible for backup, recovery and tuning of application
• Multi-Tasking capabilities and ability to work on multiple environments and projects as necessary under tighter SLAs for crunch situations
• Participate in technical design/development walkthrough discussions and suggest best practices.
• Determines systems/VM resource requirements, recommends technologies to meet overall corporate and business unit requirements.
• Review current applications technology and design new components that integrate with current system.
• This position demands a well-organized, action-oriented team player with the ability to prioritize daily work, change directions quickly, manage geographically dispersed resources and work on multiple projects simultaneously.
• Ability to work with minimal supervision, engaging peers and other departments to accomplish assigned goals and effectively manage projects in a cross-functional environment.
• Should have excellent communication skills and able to work closely with different stack holders.
• Understands and enforces coding standards and best practices.
• Maintain high availability and performance for production environments
Desirable Technical / Functional Skills • Expertise in ETL development using Informatica 9.X
• Responsible for design, implement and support the development and work closely with Business analyst and Product owners.
• Able to work with minimal supervision and meet the timelines.
• Ensure delivered applications meets customer' standards for security, correctness, platform readiness and performance
