Role: Sr. ETL Informatica Developer with Netezza, Pentaho and Cognos

Job Description:
§ Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics; advanced degree preferred.
§ 3+ years related experience in the telecommunications/cable industry
§ 5+ years' experience in the business intelligence area either with ETL or front end development.
§ Excellent presentation, oral and written communication skills.
§ Must be able to communicate with a variety of stakeholders across all levels of the organization.
§ Advanced metrics collection, reporting and business intelligence experience required. Ability to develop custom solutions a must.
§ Strong understanding of data warehouse environment and relational databases.
§ Solid knowledge of measurement and descriptive statistics, advanced statistical knowledge preferred.
§ Superior analytical and creative problem solving skills. Demonstrated successes in data analysis, drawing conclusions and improvement.
§ Advanced computer skills including Microsoft Office tools and common statistical analysis tools (e.g., SAS, SPSS).
§ Design, develop and test ETL processes using Pentaho and other ETL tools as necessary to bring in all needed data sources for the organization.
§ Lead the ETL team as the senior technical resource and provide guidance and direction for the other members.
§ Database work including modeling, ETL design, performance tuning, Function/Stored Procedure development on both SQL Server and Netezza/Pure Data databases.
§ Support new software and customize existing application areas within the IBM Cognos tool by developing dashboards, scorecards, and other various report types.
§ Deploy ETL processes and/or BI reports from development through production including all needed environments.
§ Build, develop, test and deploy Cognos Framework and Report Studio work.
§ Help develop architecture and solutions for overall BI platform, involving Cognos, Pentaho, or other BI applications.
§ Work across Comcast organizations (e.g. care, finance, CET, program management) to understand key drivers and dependencies. Researches, writes and edits documentation and technical requirements, including software designs, evaluation plans, test results, technical manuals and formal recommendations and reports. Ensure high data quality standards are maintained and continuously improve metrics collection practices and processes.
§ Partner with team members and business leaders to analyze qualitative and quantitative data to identify improvement opportunities
§ Develop continuous improvement standards and practices to enhance any existing reporting dashboards
§ Define business requirements for implementation and maintenance of data warehouse and business intelligence.
