Senior Infrastructure Engineer
Location - San Francisco
Duration –Long Term
> The Senior Infrastructure Engineer is responsible for the end-to-end

> Strategy & Planning
>Assist in designing and implementing short- and long-term strategic
> plans to ensure services meet existing and future requirements.
>Assist in creating an infrastructure and security architecture and
> standards for the management, improvement and growth of the services
> based
> on industry best practices.
>Develop, implement, and maintain policies, procedures, and associated training plans for Service Desk support and infrastructure administration based on industry-standard best practices and SOX and FDA
>Management multiple projects according to industry-standard best
> practices and SDLC requirements.
> Conduct research and make recommendations on products, services,
> Protocols, and standards in support of all infrastructure procurement and development efforts.
> Development and maintain contingency operation plans for
> Medivation's IT Services.
> Acquisition & Deployment
>Lead the deployment, monitoring, maintenance, development, upgrade, and support of IT services and associated processes and procedures.
> Conduct feasibility studies for various upgrade projects, improvements, and other conversions.
> Prepare RFPs, bid proposals, contracts, scope of work reports, and other documentation for infrastructure projects and associated efforts.
> Negotiate with vendors, outsourcers, and contractors to secure infrastructure-specific products and services.
>Assist with the planning and deployment of infrastructure security measures.
>Prepare disaster recovery site and test exercises to restore all operations in a timely manner.
>Manage and set priorities for the design, maintenance, development, and evaluation of IT services.
> Define hardware and software standards in conjunction with owners and stakeholders.
> Operational Management
> Administer information systems infrastructure monitoring and
> analysis tools and processes for service performance and provide network
> performance statistics and reports.
> Manage operational costs; conduct near- and long-term financial
> forecasts for expanded functionality/user base.
> Establish and maintain regular written and in-person communications
> with the organization's executives, decision-makers, stakeholders, department heads, and end users regarding pertinent infrastructure activities.
> Practice Service Asset & Configuration Management, including maintenance of component inventory and related documentation.
> Requirements:
> 12 years experience delivering infrastructure architecture, design and operational excellence.
> Exceptional knowledge of service and application delivery, as well as successful service level agreement accomplishments.
>Hands-on experience in troubleshooting service infrastructure.
> Knowledge of current protocols and standards, including TCP/IP, 802.11, EIGRP, RIP, BGP, iSCSI, NFS, and CIFS.
>Conversant with technologies such as: SQL, VDI, SAML and IIS.
>Application support experience with Windows Core Services, Exchange
> Server, VMWare vSphere, Zerto, Avamar, DataDomain, EMC VNX and others.
> Ability to make sound and logical judgments.
> Demonstrated leadership and personnel/project management skills.
> Good understanding of the organization's goals and objectives.
> Strong interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills.
>Able to conduct research into issues and products as required.
> Ability to prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment and make sound decisions in emergency situations.
>Ability to present ideas in a user-friendly language.
> Highly self-motivated and directed.
> Keen attention to detail.
> Proven analytical and problem-solving abilities.
> Strong customer service orientation.
> Experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.
> On-call availability for tier III/management escalations.
> PC literacy required; MSOffice skills (Outlook, Word, Excel,
> PowerPoint).
> Education:
>Certifications in Microsoft, Cisco Networking, Virtualization
