Position: Ruby on Rails Developer

Location: West LA, CA

Duration: 12 months

 

The Ruby on Rails Developer will be responsible for building and maintaining the current eCommerce site and include continuous development work in design, delivery of creative and innovative products in a business application development.

 

Responsibilities:

·         5+ years of experience designing and developing transactional Web applications

·         2+ years of experience using Ruby

·         Experience with building APIs/Web Services (SOAP/REST)

·         Experience with common Internet technologies, e.g. Linux, MySQL, Haml, CSS, HTML, JavaScript, AJAX; Plus other tools like GIT, Jira.

·         E-commerce development, and integration to payment gateways a plus

·         Experienced in Agile/SCRUM development

·         Quick learner, resourceful; flexibility in adapting in fast paced environment

·         Good communication skills; must work well in a team environment

Other requirements

·         Integrate to partner APIs

·         Support platform improvement and/or migration efforts

·         Support Operations team with release management;  and code version control

·         Analyze and review current functionality to determine potential areas of improvement

·         Consult on overall architecture and modification activities, particularly for new and/or shared infrastructure solutions.

·         Bachelor Computer Science or related
