Job Title: Lead Android Developer/Architect

Location: Dallas, TX

Duration: Long Term

Rate: $65 c2c

Seeking excellent Technical Architects/Lead Developers to build an end-to-end stack of an application platform that includes android, web based backend technologies including RoR, Java deployed on a cloud platform. The ideal candidate will have experience in both backend and mobile (Android) technologies.

Responsibilities:

• Architect, Design and Build an Advanced platform that includes Mobile, Web and Database components

• Backend using RoR

• Design and build Mobile Web components with JQuery Mobile, Backbone.js (MVC)

• Database using MySQL/NO-SQL

• Build/Customize Android Application components

• Technical SME for a global technology team to define, design, and ship new features.

• Define integration approaches with external systems/APIs for maximum efficiency, scalability and performance

• Build a scalable backend infrastructure based on AWS collaborating with a deployment team

• Implement performance engineering approaches

• Discover, prototype, evaluate, and implement new technologies to maximize development efficiency. 

• Collaborate with external customer technology teams

Requirements:

• BS degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related subject

• 8+ years of software development experience with 2+ Years as an architect or development lead

• 6+ years of Backend Technology Development (Including technologies like Java)

• 2+ Years in RoR

• 2 Years of Mobile Application experience

• Solid understanding of end to end technology stack

• Strong Knowledge of RoR based Web Development

• Strong Knowledge of Javascript & related libraries(JQuery, Backbone, Underscore)
