Title : Build Release Engineer (Configuration/Release Manager)

Location : Little Rock AK

Duration : 6 Months

 

The Configuration/Release Manager will provide the overall software and hardware configuration policy and standards. The Configuration Manager will guide implementation efforts, and provide reporting on daily activities for development, integration, and testing in order to control the objects deployed in each environment and manage migrations.

 

The Configuration/Release Manager will:

·         Analyze product design changes and the overall impact to end product design and function

·         Prepare documentation for all topics of configuration management (i.e. Release Notes)

·         Develop and maintain hardware and software configuration management tools to support configuration identification, control, reporting, and delivery of internal Information Technology (IT) developments and Cúram-based projects

·         Perform configuration management and release engineering tasks to ensure new hardware/software product operating parameters are documented, comply with standard hardware configurations, and are logistically sustainable

·         Maintain industry/technical knowledge base and facilitate/maintain industry relationships

·         Demonstrate commitment to providing customer-focused quality service

·         Support assigned systems with on-call availability and respond within agreed upon timeframes

·         Perform other duties as deemed relevant based upon experience to fulfill customer needs

 

Required:

·         Three (3) or more years of demonstrated experience in configuration and/or build engineering or release management

·         Significant experience managing build, configuration, and process for multiple environments for multiple teams working concurrently on large projects (at least 2 years)

·         Solid understanding of total life cycle configuration and build management processes

·         Experience with build scripting and automation

·         Basic knowledge of IBM WebSphere Administration

·         Experience with at least one commercial software product used for configuration engineering

·         Ability to reject information if not correct and collaborate with development teams to create accurate and timely release notes
