Test Analyst
Location: Chicago, IL
Duration: 6 months
Candidate Profile/ Responsibilities:
• Proven software testing background with experience in leading system testing while interacting with relevant stakeholders and project team members to collect test requirements, identify risks and determine testing scope
• Lead the team in test planning, testing plan execution and communication of test results to the Scrum team
• Regression testing leadership and management - identify and execute, in consultation with the development team, the appropriate regression test cases. Build and enhance the regression test repository with each release while ensuring all projects complete Regression Testing in Pre-Production, as applicable, before deploying to Production.
• Development and maintenance of test plans and supporting documentation ensuring all project technical requirements are suitably tested.
• Experience pairing with developers to ensure high quality code is written using test-driven development (TDD) practices
• When Production issues occur, perform analysis to confirm if new test case coverage is required to improve quality of the product
• Liaise with Production Services and Application support for quick issue resolution, as may be required
• Leverage and implement industry best practices and standards related to testing
• Oversee periodic refreshes of the Pre-Production environments and work with the Scrum team to ensure code sync between Pre-Production and Production, and manage Migration team activities for the execution of job chains in the Pre-Production environment related to Regression Testing
• Coordinate release and Change Control calls to deploy fixes/changes to solutions as per team processes
Minimum Qualifications:
• Overall 5+ years of testing experience with Enterprise grade applications
• Experience working in an Agile (SCRUM, XP, Kanban) environment/team focusing on sprint by sprint deliveries
• Test Driven Development (TDD) using NUnit or equivalent
• SQL – 5+ years minimum
• Experience with testing of .NET applications
Preference given to candidates with the following experience:
• Load/Performance testing experience
• SCRUM Master certification
• Experience with Fixed Income applications and/or trade order management systems being highly desirable
Education:
A four year Bachelor's Degree or the international equivalent in Computer Science or Engineering is preferred or commensurate relevant work experience.
