Job Title   :  Manual Test Engineer
Location   : Bethpage NY
Duration    : 6+ MONTHS 

Job Description:
 

QA Test Analyst experienced in manual testing to evaluate and test cutting edge customer facing products. You will participate in the development, execution and administration of all software testing activities to assure compliance with functional and technical requirements prior to deployment.

Responsibility:

·      Execute and maintain test operating methodology / processes related to testing of all software including: test strategies, plans, test cases, lab test guidelines, automated test tool utilization and test-related metrics

·      Work with testers, developers and users to develop test strategies, plans and scripts to ensure customer requirements are addressed

·      Document test results, issues / defects and progress. Assist with system checks, special test assignments and adherence to configuration / system set-ups for test conditions.

Experience:

·      5+ years of hands on experience in a QA lab environment applying test experience to projects of various size and complexity.

·      Industry Knowledge: set top box/ industry/ Telecommunication, Comcast/communication

·      5+ years supporting QA test efforts including analysis of business/technical/functional requirements, developing test strategies and test plans, coordinating defect management, and QA reporting Test case writing (from use cases & functional specs)
HP Quality Center- generating reports, exporting defects, defect reports, testing status MS Office skills: Excel and Word- user level- (i.e. Excel export, filter)

·      Familiarity with testing Mobile Devices Excellent interpersonal communications skills
